Miss Riley Shultz

Miss Riley, or "Coach Riley," found her passion for water safety in high school as a Varsity swimmer and YMCA lifeguard/swim instructor. Recently certified by Miss Julie of Water Safe Swim, she begins her first summer teaching water safety and swim skills with Water Safe Swim Modesto.

For four years, she has provided private swim lessons to children aged 3-14, focusing on swimming mechanics and advanced techniques like strokes, flip turns, and diving. Her dedication and skill have earned her the nickname "Coach Riley."

A mother of three young children, Miss Riley lives in Modesto with her husband, Nolan. She’s been a 2nd-grade teacher at Dent Elementary in Escalon for four years and previously coached high school freshman volleyball.

Miss Riley combines her teaching, coaching, and parenting experience to make swimming lessons engaging and effective. Becoming a Water Safety Instructor is a lifelong dream she is thrilled to fulfill, sharing her knowledge to help families build confidence and skills in the water.
